Astra Satellite Systems 1986/1987 and 1G

General 

The Astra satellite system is a collection of geostationary communication satellites owned and operated by SES, a global satellite operator based in Luxembourg. These satellites provide a wide range of services, including broadcasting digital television channels, high-definition TV, and broadband internet across Europe, Africa, and parts of Asia. The Astra satellites are positioned at various orbital locations, such as 19.2°E, 28.2°E, 23.5°E to maximize coverage and service reliability. They have been instrumental in the development of satellite TV and the introduction of digital and high-definition television in Europe.

Economic and Technology conditions

The Astra satellite system orbit was developed at Stuttgart University Institute of Space Technology ISD Prof. Dr. Ernst Messerschmidt and Dipl.-Ing. Engin Günana 1986/1987. As an alternative route orbit system to geo stationary orbit. We consider future based economic and technology conditions of Digital Technology (1g) and political and economic cooperation European country with the vision connect part of Asia (Turkey) and Nord Africa and of course Great Britain and Irland and decided for a satellite solution with ASTRA. Astra New Orbit System

Technology and Orbit conditions give us the direction to choose a different orbit system than geo stationary orbit. We decided to tilt the orbit system and send a system of satellites with 19.2°E, 28.2°E, 23.5°E degree and more and make us independent from geo stationary orbit system. From the beginning was my idea to choose a satellite system who are connect to each other with digital communication.

Thanks to Prof. Ernst Messerschmidt to appreciate my foundation of excentric no geo stationary orbit, Astra Satellite System in series and 1G as my last name Günana. 1G for mobile internet standard for Internet foundation with the protocol https://www at University Stuttgart in 1986
